Discmania Neo Mutant
Mutant – Extremely overstable approach disc for windy conditions
Mutant is a unique, very overstable approach disc that does not get bothered by strong winds. It is not built for maximum distance but for predictability and accuracy. The rim has no rounded edges; instead, the angular shape gives the disc a very distinctive feel.
Mutant works excellently for both backhand and forehand throws when you need a hard-fading, reliable flight. It is a solid choice for situations where you want to minimize surprises and keep your approaches to the basket under control.
Who is Mutant for?
- Players who need an extremely overstable approach disc
- For windy conditions and precise approach shots
- For backhand and forehand throws requiring a strong fade
- Advanced and competitive players seeking controlled approaches
Plastic:
Neo
Discmania Evolution Neo plastic is rigid enough to hold up in all temperatures but still has enough flex in the flight plate to give all players a comfortable grip.
Brand:
Discmania
Founded in Finland in 2006, Discmania is one of the most popular manufacturers in disc golf. Discmania has three disc lineups: Evolution, Originals, and Active. The first two are manufactured in Sweden, while the third is produced in China.
Discmania's so-called premium plastic blends include Lux, Forge, Meta, Neo, S-Line, C-Line, Chroma, and Active Premium. More grippy and faster-wearing base plastics include Hard Exo, Soft Exo, Super Soft Exo, D-Line Flex 1-2-3, and Active Base. We also offer Discmania disc golf baskets, bags, and various accessories.
Popular Discmania discs include: P2, Sensei, MD3, Method, FD, PD and DD3.
Flight Numbers
The numbers that usually appear on the top of the disc indicate the flight characteristics of the disc. The most commonly used way to tell the flight characteristics is to use four numbers: speed, glide, stability and fade.
Disc Weight
Disc golf discs usually weigh between 140 and 180 grams. The lighter the disc, the less stable it is. Conversely, the heavier the disc, the more overstable it behaves.
