At the request of Team Discraft athletes, the Terminator was developed with a profile that creates its dome through the mold itself. Rather than leaving this characteristic entirely to the molding process, the shape was intentionally engineered into the disc. That built-in dome helps generate additional glide while preserving the high-speed stability and torque resistance that define the Terminator’s flight. The disc can continue carrying forward without becoming overly reactive or losing the dependable finish power throwers expect from an overstable driver.

One of the Terminator's most distinct design elements is how its weight is distributed. More of the disc’s mass is packed directly into the outer nose. That nose-weighted construction helps the Terminator maintain its forward momentum instead of immediately dumping into its fade. The numbers that usually appear on the top of the disc indicate the flight characteristics of the disc. The most commonly used way to tell the flight characteristics is to use four numbers: speed, glide, stability and fade.

Disc golf discs usually weigh between 140 and 180 grams. The lighter the disc, the less stable it is. Conversely, the heavier the disc, the more overstable it behaves.
