Innova's description: We've made many new advancements throughout Disc Golf history. This one is a milestone. Our new Blizzard technology incorporates thousands of microbubbles into our durable Champion plastic. This results in high speed, premium plastic drivers in weights all the way down to 130 grams!

Boss is an extremely fast driver that has value 13 in Innova's speed rating. Due to its speed and stability, Boss is popular among big arms and reliable in the headwind. Experienced players value its reliability. Boss turns a bit over at high velocities and hence increases the length of the throw. Not recommended for players throwing under 90 meters.

The Blizard Champion Boss currently holds the Distance World Record at 263.2 meters thrown by Simon Lizotte October 25th 2014. In this record breaking shot he used 157 grams Blizzard Boss he borrowed from his team mate Avery Jenkins.

The tiny micro bubbles in the Champion line material are what makes a Blizzard Champion disc different from the Champion plastic. Thanks to this innovation,Innova have been able to produce wide rim distance drivers in lower weights - as low as 130 grams. These lower weights equal longer drives and the low-end of the weight spectrum will especially help recreational players to reach all new distances

Many first time Blizzard users have a tendency to overpower their drives with the Blizzard plastic concluding in heavy turnovers and loss of controllability. When you hold the disc in your hand you easily think that you need to go full power since it's a maximum distance disc. Contrary to this, the key with shooting Blizzard discs is patience. Try using just 70-80 % of your power and arm speed and really concentrate on a clean release. You'll get longer drives with less effort and using less power really helps keeping the disc on the line.

The disc golf market leader Innova Discs started in 1983 and have been at the forefront of disc golf ever since. Based in California in the United States, Innova Discs has a full line of discs from putters to distance drivers in many popular plastic types.

Popular Innova discs include: Aviar, Roc, Teebird, Leopard, Firebird, and Destroyer.

The numbers that usually appear on the top of the disc indicate the flight characteristics of the disc. The most commonly used way to tell the flight characteristics is to use four numbers: speed, glide, stability and fade.

Disc golf discs usually weigh between 140 and 180 grams. The lighter the disc, the less stable it is. Conversely, the heavier the disc, the more overstable it behaves.
