Product description:
Discmania Lux Vapor DD
This is the DD, most understable Originals Distance Driver - Reinvented.
Step aside, it’s time to add some glide! An exciting addition to the Originals line ushers in a new era for long distance shots with the S-Line DD. As the name implies, DD stands for 'distance driver' and that’s exactly what it’s going to offer. It provides the distance option when you really want to uncork one but still makes you feel like you’re throwing a controllable fairway driver and will be very complimentary to the other distance drivers in your bag. The only compliment it might not give you is on how you dress for the day but that’s about it.
A beginner or advanced player is going to pick one up right away and notice a drastic change in the distance added to their game with a DD. Higher skilled players will use these for max distance and controlled lines with shot shaping abilities. Legend has it some are still flying to this day. Got a big tailwind? Reach for this one ASAP. Anything else is up to you. DD will fight for the top slot in your bag day in and day out.
Plastic:
Lux Vapor
Discmania Evolution Lux plastic is rigid enough to hold up in all temperatures but still has enough flex in the flight plate to give all players a comfortable grip. It's feels little softer than Neo plastic.
Vapor plastic has a very durable and grippy composition while the added benefit of swirls give each disc a one of a kind experience. Swirls of each disc will vary in terms of swirl variety, color, and swirl placement.
Brand:
Discmania
Founded in Finland in 2006, Discmania is one of the most popular manufacturers in disc golf. Discmania has three disc lineups: Evolution, Originals, and Active. The first two are manufactured in Sweden, while the third is produced in China.
Discmania's so-called premium plastic blends include Lux, Forge, Meta, Neo, S-Line, C-Line, Chroma, and Active Premium. More grippy and faster-wearing base plastics include Hard Exo, Soft Exo, Super Soft Exo, D-Line Flex 1-2-3, and Active Base. We also offer Discmania disc golf baskets, bags, and various accessories.
Popular Discmania discs include: P2, Sensei, MD3, Method, FD, PD and DD3.
Flight Numbers
The numbers that usually appear on the top of the disc indicate the flight characteristics of the disc. The most commonly used way to tell the flight characteristics is to use four numbers: speed, glide, stability and fade.
Disc Weight
Disc golf discs usually weigh between 140 and 180 grams. The lighter the disc, the less stable it is. Conversely, the heavier the disc, the more overstable it behaves.
